why do people ask about a whole new Switch as if Nintendo is already moving on to a new Operating System and completely different hardware?

doesn't that seem SUPER redunant? it took Nintendo a long time to move on from the Wii with both commercial and critial success and people really think there's gonna be ANOTHER completely fresh start???

much like Xbox, even when Nintendo markets a new console they will continue the brand

we are no longer in the age of selling $400-500 consoles every 6-7 years with the mandate that if you don't upgrade you are left behind except for Sony, theyre on the fence lmaooo

even if Gen 2 switch is not the biggest upgrade it still might be substantial. honestly I think Nintendo will stay with the concept for a long while. Gen 3 could be the nicest upgrade as mobile tech advances in a few years.

Bravely default II has an insane soundtrack, might cop just for that

Nintendo is taking the Apple approach, I don’t think we’ll see a redesign of the hardware in the near future, just upgrades for the most part.

yeah its also the Xbox approach, makes the most sense in this day and age to create a continuing ecosystem and milk it

If the rumored Switch revision can match the power of a regular PS4 then I’d be more than pleased. I only had 2 games on my PS4 before I sold it (Fortnite and Horizon Zero Dawn) and they were both some miles ahead of the Switch in terms of graphics and performance. Fortnite on PS4 looked and played and even sounded sooo much better. I do not actually expect that kind of upgrade though. I’m keeping my expectations low.

if the new Switch doesnt have Nvidia's newer chips then it wont be as good as a PS4 and if thats true then Nintendo is making a HUGE mistake

its 2021 none of my games in my TV should be less than 1080p FHD

if the new Switch runs Xenoblade 2 and BOTW2 at 900p on my TV im going to pull a Bliss and quit gaming on Nintendo

soooo many current Switch games look f***ing TERRIBLE on both of my TVs one is 43" 4K and the other is 65" 4K

Nintendo needs to cater to that for me to care
