Between end of 2021 and beginning of 2022, so any time between september/october 2021 and march 2022

Oh absolutely. Every console that has sold well since the Wii has had a new version. Look at the DS and 3DS. The Switch will absolutely have a Pro version.

I don’t think a lot of ppl realize how popular the switch is and is going to continue to be. That s*** sold out damn near everywhere STILL and it’s been like a year bro

    Switch DX coming March 2022
    console's 5 year anniversary
    launching with BOTW2
    shortly after Splatoon 3

those 2 games plus Pokemon Legends, Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 are all 2022 titles that will take advantage of the Deluxe model

we'll get confirmation at E3 when there's either no reveal at all, or no 2021 release date

  • May 22, 2021

    it's most likely gonna be:

    720p @ 60fps handheld mode
    1080p @ 60fps docked perf. mode
    2160p @ 30fps docked quality mode

With Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity getting its second DLC released in November, I’m doubting we’ll get BotW2 in November. Heck, it even makes me doubt it’s coming in 2021 at this point but I really want to be wrong.

  • May 22, 2021

    BOTW2 is not a 2021 release

  • May 22, 2021

E3 will probably show us one more summer release affer Skyward Sword and Monster Hunter Stories 2 and before No More Heroes 3

E3 will most likely then give us our fall and holiday titles including Pokemon BDSP, and possibly more 2022-2023 announcements

that aside im guessing more DLC and im expecting Zelda remasters or remakes, and idk where the Donkey Kong and Kirby details fit in either

remember we usually get a big Nintendo Direct around September that sometimes gives us details on a December or January release

In November we’re getting one character and some stages/abilities

It’s a small thing and its coming out in waves with some dlc in May and june it’s wrapping up with its final wave in November, if anything the end of the dlc being in November is a sign and maybe it’ll have some things tie-in with botw2

I think Nozuka was referring to Switch Pro/the rumored Switch revision, which hasn’t been revealed yet.

    oh I misunderstood

anyways, I think we’ll get a Zelda anniversary direct that will probably show off botw2, skyward sword remaster and the hyrule warriors dlc.

    September reveal
    March 2022 drop

Wouldn’t they want to reveal the Pro much closer to launch, like sometime after the holiday season - if it were to release in March 2022? January 2022 reveal for example, or late December 2021. I’m thinking in order not to cannibalize the sales of the original Switch model between September 2021 - March 2022 by announcing that a better model is coming in March 2022. If it gets announced in September 2021 then I feel like it would be better to release it in the holiday season 2021 rather than wait until March 2022. If it’s not coming until March then there is no need to announce it in September. Feels too early when I think about the factors I mentioned above.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have 2 or 3 big releases around that time, especially if switch pro is dropping in late 2021 like Bloomberg reported

if the chip shortage delays switch pro to 2022 then you’re probably right, it’ll just be Pokémon
