I’m thinking perhaps there could be two new models, a “New Nintendo Switch” and a “New Nintendo Switch Pro.” That would kinda help make sense of the Amazon name listing.

Problem with Bluetooth audio is there would be a delay

If it Dolby Atmos, meaning it supports spatial audio

Imagine that with soundtracks Nintendo makes for their games

Bluetooth 5.0 has some tricks against that delay, so it shouldn't be an issue.

I also think delay like that is more of an issue when playing online / competitive games, which I don't.

If the Pro can run 1080p handheld and have a fat battery life, that’s already going to be super desirable. Not to mention if it can run at 4K docked.

The thing that perplexes me is how will this run at 4k resolution? Like to me, the PS5 runs at 4K but in performance that s*** isn’t 60FPS. How the f*** will this run at that resolution and FPS?

Idk I guess we will have to see. I get that the games that the Switch has to offer straight up don’t require the same type of hardware capabilities the other consoles do but still, there are 3rd party games that might

Bluetooth capability and a built in Ethernet port on the dock are my two biggest things. If it has those I’m chillin for sure

they might even put a new chip and battery in the lite and call that new switch lite

most likely demanding games like the Witcher 3 will just look worse in terms of textures, draw distance, lighting, etc. on switch than PS5 but both will be output at 4k resolution

however they are using some new dlss tech so they are benefitting from making this console a year after PS5, all in all it’ll make for some extremely interesting digital foundry comparisons if we get big AAAs launching together in 4k on all 3 consoles now

Handheld itll run at 720p for longer battery Life but it will be native so games should look good anyway. And about 4k, it seems switch pro gonna have DLSS which can upscale games to make them look like native 4k through AI
