I personally believe that we all make mistakes and lapses of Judgment , from time to time. Entertainers/Athletes have more responsibility than us , but they are no different. We all should be able to take criticism for any wrong doings but we also deserve a chance to redeem ourselves like any other human.
Uzi pleaded no contest to assaulting a woman .
CB took the felony charge for assaulting Rihanna.
Tory Vs Meg case still ongoing.
Since this is the internet , and we love throwing hypotheticals out there. Let’s say the woman Uzi assaulted was JT or someone that’s really known. Would his case be thrown under the rug the way it currently is ? Would he facing non stop criticism ?
Let’s say Chris Brown had the incident still but with a regular woman. Would his career turn out the way it is today or would it be bigger ?
Now with Tory and Meg let’s say it was an old gf like Brittany(Uzi) not really a well known figure. Do you believe he still would’ve received that same amount of criticism that he experienced with Meg ?
My point is that the majority that speaks out on these topics don’t really care. Everything is performative nowadays and are done just to follow suit, with no real knowledge on the situation they’re against. The audience looks blindly to things concerning the people that they love/like and are outspoken to everything else.
They said the whole industry new about R Kelly , it took a documentary 25 years into his career to
Get him out of here. He wasn’t held accountable for his devious actions and he continued.
I’m not saying Uzi will Continue , but he isn’t being held accountable in the public because of the reason I listed . Goes to show how all of this s*** is just marketing for certain artist , no real effort to actually put a stop to these issues.
OP is spot on.
Also, people pick and choose. You see twitter people attack every single person who just dare to mention Chris Brown's name but they have no problem being fans and supporting rapists, p edos etc.
Y’all acting like he meant to hit her she just got in the way from a man on man fight that’s it

He put a gun to her stomach and pistol whipped her
Rocnation saved him by erasing that security footage of the assault. If that s*** got out, it might of been over for Uzi

The story from what I remember was Uzi came at Jhn with the gun, Jhn dodged, he accidentally hit Brittney, they fell over each other all on accident and that’s where the gun to her stomach came from

you internet goonies need to stop pretending that when people attack you online is accountability
even corporate action like getting removed from festivals or losing endorsement deals isn't truly Accountability being enforced. its just companies covering their trail and avoiding a pr nightmare for people who did something bad and have a large group campaigning against them. the reason he's not getting cancelled isn't that he's particularly beloved more than another rapper, maybe just a little, but mostly because it happened to a regular chick who didn't really publicize the situation. If it happened to JT it would get way more exposure along with her huge fanbase instantly turning the heat up.
