Oh btw @One Elvis Presley was bigger than MJ or The Beatles
I know you have made some stupid ass posts before but this takes the cake.
Michael Jackson ended racism in the music industry, after Billie Jean MTV started playing black artists stop it
People stopped being racist to listen to Thriller
racism in the music industry ended?
Nah black artists still getting exploited w stereotypes to sell records and all types of s*** look at the grammys and how white its been forever and all that
just cause there are early examples of black success doesn't mean racism is over, its a good thing and of course MJ changed so much s*** in the game but...
these problems aren't ever gone tbh
Oh btw @One Elvis Presley was bigger than MJ or The Beatles
Elvis is up there but im wondering if MJ having more access to the whole world, being that technology and music industry was able to spread further, made him bigger... idk though...
Kurt Cobain
Nah... career was too short... 2-3 years in the real mainstream,
while michael jackson had like 3 decades over which he was insanely popular (from jackson 5 on...)
Idk if niggas was playing The Beatles like that in Africa so I’m gonna go w/ Michael
Idk if niggas was playing The Beatles like that in Africa so I’m gonna go w/ Michael
exactly nobody has fame ww close to michael

Ok I’m definetly going crazy
My point is after Billie Jean, labels started funding black artists more, MTV & various white TV + Radio stations started playing black artists
He open the flood gates for Black musicians & artists to succeed past the barriers placed on them

Exactly
And mtv played mj for views not because “ he ended racism” lol
Don’t think I’ve yet to hear a Beatles song so MJ for sure the biggest artist of all time

oh for real, I agree MJ changed the game for black artists & showed the extent of how successful a black artist could be - basically god level for all intents and purposes...
broke down barriers.... it was just the phrasing

They definitely were. Africa has a vast midi scene especially back in the 70s-80s
Exactly

Bullshit
Billie Jean getting heavy rotation lead to more black artists getting airplay and their music videos funded by labels
That alone lead to the success of many entertainers and allowed them to cross over past disco, R&B & soul music
Probably true but your reasoning makes you seem brand new, he’s far from the only English speaking artist to sell out countries that don’t speak the language, that’s not out of the ordinary at all
correct
imagine debating this
People think the Beatles & MJ are in the same category when it wasn’t even close
MJ sold almost just as much as them with less music
@Bow_And_Arrow The Beatles were big with a predominantly white audience. They get overhyped but the level of acclaim, fame, and adoration people had for Michael was beyond anything the Beatles could ever attempt to muster.
The Beatles also had the benefit of being one of the first boy bands of the time and all this s*** was new to young people so when they were excited, they were excited, because they may have only heard them on the radio and not TV, but when Michael was out, he was visible and people still acted insane on seeing him in person.
"they may have only heard The Beatles on the radio and not TV"
Oh so you just have no clue what you're talking about got it
Drake out now
You can’t seriously be comparing Drake to MJ
Drake has Billboard hits, and that’s all he’ll ever have

yea i mean the Beatles were certainly huge themselves but man MJ was just another dimension.
everybody knows at least 1 MJ song

It's also different because the Beatles were famous and touring (simultaneously) for probably less than 5 years, before they stopped
They were performing a lot in the 50s but they werent famous til early 60s and stopped touring like... 66? 65? idk
