What’s more terrifying: being the only ones in the universe or knowing mathematically there is most likely something else out there
But yeah I believe in “aliens” no way we're the only ones in the universe
If you believe that I don’t know what else to tell you
I recently heard something about the idea that there could be a ceiling on the advancement of intelligent species due to extension level events that hinder further progress and thus stopping the possibility of us ever even being able to meet/confirm life forms on other planets

Sorta sounds like the great filter
Essentially there’s a ton of life forms all over the universe but eventually they run into a huge obstacle that causes them to stop evolving into a more intelligent form of life or it makes them extinct. Very few life forms are able to surpass the great filter and keep evolving
Either humans haven’t hit the great filter yet so ultimately we’re useless to the actual intelligent life forms or we have surpassed the great filter and are incredibly rare so it’s difficult to find another form since they’re so sparce

Yea thats it. If we already passed the great filter thats sorta disappointing cause I don't see us advancing much beyond our current state and wouldn't that mean were one of the most intelligent species in the universe? I like to think that there are others that have not only passed the great filter but have developed measures to prevent any hinderance of further evolution.
Not trying to be pessimistic but I don't see us really developing any way of preventing our extension in the slightest. I doubt wed even be able to do something as little as preventing an asteroid impact.

Yeah I think we passed the great filter as well
Seems so unlikely that we’re that irrelevant to not have passed it yet
Yes, I also believe there could be a bunch of unimaginable s*** out there that is completely different than earth.
I don't think intelligent alien life would give af about us
You don’t think they’d wanna study us or something? Especially a few hundred years ago when we had little technology or even thousands of years ago when we were very in-advanced?

Global warming .
They copped to UFO’s not aliens though right
yea but still did you see the video
That Joe Rogan interview of Bob Lazar blew my mind
Q&A's felt pre-determined though imo. When Joe mentioned the dinner they had the night before it kinda blew it away I may watch again without that perspective.

If their so advanced they can travel to our solar system and leave undetected what could they possibly learn from us apes? It would be like an explorer discovering an ant colony. They must be equally ahead in Biology.
Either most other intelligent life isn't advanced enough to travel outside its own solar system or their's something out their so ahead it would just see us as part of the universal ecosystem
What if the aliens are fourth dimensional or up like arrival? They live outside of time so are lives are basically like a comic book to them

I guess you’re right but then again I think it depends on how advanced they are. Because i feel like if we had the technology available to explore other planets we would probably do it out of curiosity whether we have anything to gain or not. Could be the case with a different life form as well.
wish I could be around for when we started exploring other planets..
sucks..
The only thing we'll see in our lifetime is a few humans on Mars.
Doesn't necessarily have to be the one's we've grown to recognize but some type of unknown species that travels throughout galaxy especially to Earth from time to time.
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERDn2Z_Cpvwi don't doubt their existence but i dont think we'll ever get aliens on earth.
who knows tho? maybe coronavirus is an extraterrestrial lifeform
