lol I’m sorry but them boys not winning championships

    Maybe Luka. That’s it

Tatum literally made the finals this is a dumb take and what makes it dumber is the idea you can’t be a superstar without a chip

Why not just say they are an all star instead of superstar

And yes he made the finals but he didn’t win. And this is his first year going that far. I don’t necessarily agree you need to have a championship to be a superstar but if you aren’t going to the finals at least multiple times within a 10 year span than you not a superstar imo

A lot of people that talk about a superstar get caught up on either the potential of a player or the past of one. As in, someone that’s an all star that might become a superstar they start to say he is right now. And then people that used to be superstars but aren’t anymore they continue to say that they are when they aren’t

Mfs really saying Luka and Jokic

if you don’t think those are 2 superstars you don’t know ball. kills me how so many mfs don’t understand the difference between individual and team success

    I didn’t say star

I said Super Star. The super being before it is important

And honestly, when you bring up old ass players like that then you essentially start talking about the entire history of the NBA and when you do that then yes Charles Barkley starts to not look like a superstar compared to other superstars

There has to be some type of filtering process

Think about the NBA each year. There’s like ~400 players. Then the All Star game is between like 20-30 players
~5% of the league gets selected as an All Star. That’s a huge chunk gone. A similar chunk is gonna have to be taken from the All Stars in order to get your superstars. Only like 3-5 ppl are gonna be superstars out of your All Stars. This recent year you could say Lebron, KD & Steph are definitively superstars. And Giannis is right there on the cusp like a season or two away from being one as well

But really that’s it. And so then if you talk about the entire history of the NBA, it’s like the same 5% or even less filter is gonna get applied. Bc someone that was a superstar for their time may not stack up against all of the other superstars of their own time

    ¡¡¡NO!!!

    Gracias.

    giannis on the cusp 😭

Giannis has done enough in the regular season to meet the criteria to be a superstar. But his playoff record isn’t good enough to be in the Superstar category

He hasn’t dominated the playoffs enough to honestly be considered one.

    It’s 2022
Lebron stopped dominating the eastern conference in 2018
So Giannis has been doing above average since then but this what happened:
    2019 conf finals L
    2020 semi finals L
    2021 finals W
    2022 semi finals L

That resume doesn’t make a guy a superstar when his superstar peers of Lebron Curry & KD playoff resumes have:

All have at least 2 championships within a 10 year span, and at least 4 trips to the finals whether win or lose. Curry & Lebron have 4 rings. Bron 9 Finals, Curry 6, KD 4… Giannis is 1
They aren’t the same. Give Giannis a few more years

It’s a team game at the end of the day. Bucks would be a perennial lottery team without Giannis

Bro is definitely a superstar and is arguably a top 3 power forward of all time
