Prior to that Jay was held in a fair and critical regard mostly I’d say. I really think it’s the younger crowd (17-22) that caught on to Jay and started stanning so hard zero critical awareness
Even those kpop posters somehow stan Jay Z even tho they don't like any other rappers who occupy the same lane, lmao s*** is weird
