Before the internet you had to be social in real life to have any sort of communication. Now you can just run to your favorite forum, social media, or whatever and have all the social interaction you need.

I think the more internet dependent we become the less social we will be with each other in real life.

I was in more friend groups in high school but they were all pretty shallow friendships and I didn't get to know them super well, different parts of the groups stuck together after high school and now I've got 1 great close group of friends some of which I'm planning on being housemates with, and another group of friends I still see a couple times a month, I enjoy social interaction and I get bored pretty easily so I enjoy having friends

I would find it hard to say anyone's a failure cause we're all on different journeys in life, but having friends is something I value

I can pretty much guarantee I have more posts than anyone ITT and I still spend about 20 hours a week at work, about 15-20 hours a week with friends and a fair amount of time each week studying for uni

Friend groups naturally drifting apart is common, the easiest way to make friends is to do something you like in groups and have it happen organically. All my friends now are either my old friends from back then or guys I've hooped with or train with at a fight gym.
