A hit song, also known as a hit record, hit single or simply hit, is a recorded song or instrumental that becomes broadly popular or well-known.
Don't give me a Wikipedia definition. What is YOUR definition of a hit. Does that mean Drake has 209 hits in your opinion since he has 209 songs that were well known enough to chart?

WTF am i supposed to say? You know damn well what a hit song is without a proper definition, you’re literally just arguing just to argue.
You obviously realize a song like madaba ridim which charted isn’t the same level of a song like can’t tell me nothing which also charted
Well, earlier in the thread, people said anything that's Platinum is a hit. Drake has more Platinum plaques than any other artist. Another person said anything that hits the top 40 is a hit. Drake has 101 top 40 hits. The most of any artist.
Yeah well, these battles aren't stats measuring contests otherwise every artist/producer would've used their 20 best selling/best charting songs, but they don't. Some use songs that didn't even chart in the top 50
They just play whatever song is most iconic most respected in the culture etc. Pretty much a ''best tracks'' battle, not a ''top charting hits'' battle

No the f*** I don't because you people are calling songs that had no impact whatsoever hits. So define what a hit is we can have a more nuanced discussion. Simple.

So it's not a battle of hits but a battle of most iconic songs? So why the f*** is it called a hit battle then?

Those songs flopped on the radio on the charts, etc. During both eras, Kanye was complaining about not having hits on radio and on the charts.

FSMH and Famous deserve to be on there

that metro tag was a legendary moment in 2016

It’s not worth arguing this with him anymore. Swizz used Famous for the first beat battle. It counts there’s no arguing against it being used
