He's not wrong in terms of making such an amazing conceptual album that literally paved the way for everything today. But I'm gonna be angry it's not people's favorite album. SInce opinions are opinions.

It Was Written is definitely real close with it with Nas making it more listenable and at his cohesive best while still keeping it street but Illmatic just has a rawer energy and lyricism that no album had before it.
