Yeah that stuff is pretty great tbh. I know they put HELLA caffeine in it too (like real IBC type root beer) which really makes it "root beer".. you should go to a local grocery store you can definitely find some better alternatives than MUG or A&W (those have always been weak imo)

Lipton makes powdered tea so yeah it is. It's not something I can imagine myself drinking though. You ever seen those water bottles that let you put fruit inside a pouch that sits in the water? Probably better if you got one of those, and put a non offensive tea inside the bottle.
