also what has he done for hip hop that another pasty kid filled with angst who sells because he resembles the biggest market wasnt going to inevitably do? not dismissing his talent but separate his lyricism and shock value (which has been his bread and butter from the start) from his ability to make albums or even songs with a solid structure (which arent littered with as many fillers as there are references to rape, matricide etc) which are bland, generic and eerily forgetful and youre not looking at much aside from either female hook singer esque garbage or rappity rap rap crap with a certain edge and people eat it up because its eminem!!!

the man in a culture of people who love and cherish the craft, really loves and cherishes the craft so much he released a chain of trash albums but yet still represents everything right with REAL hip hop! imagine s***ting on lil wayne who with just mixtapes did more for hip hop in terms of influence, growth and success than eminem has ever. wayne gave us drake, nicki, an era etc what has eminem given us??? a seeminly endless stream of trash caucasian youtube tier rappers who eminem has given the confidence to tarnish any last remnants of hip hop they can attack under the guise of doing it for real rap!!! if eminem did yelawolf number, he would be a yelawolfd tier rapper i mean how the hell can a person complain about a lack of substance when most of his substance is fabricated from childhood exaggerations, childish outbreaks, responding to criticism of said childish outbreak and a surface level scope on his life consisting of aspect most musicians cover?? when the dust has settled, he will be hailed as a goat, given the caucasian legend immunity package and we wont hear the end of it...

Em gave us 50, Royce, D12, Obie Trice..from the years 1999-2005 in school EVERY white kid wanted to be Eminem .. literally the song REAL slim.shady.. he wasn't who birthed the "fast rap wave" either.. that was entirely Hopsin and partly logic, em was in the game wayyyy before that and that style didn't get popular until 2010s.

U could say the same about other artists like carti n Uzi birthing a bunch of these trash rappers too.. literally u could argue just about any legend giving us trash AND AMAZING talents. Seriously... Ur favorite rappers fav rapper was Eminem.

for the most part eminem made edgy horrocore rap which being generous is maybe 10% of today's rap, 25 if you count the rappers who think its cool to rap fast, but to act like em is a super influential artist to todays rap is untrue
