I don’t know if you’ve ever noticed because this isn’t something that is new but it’s very clear that non Black ethnic minorities see being an ally as something transactional.

It shows just how anti Black some of these people are. The constant bringing up of BLM whenever anything goes wrong or if a Black person is involved.

Reason I’m making this thread is because of a tweet I saw. Israel is bombing Gaza so people are showing support for Palestinians but what some people are more concerned about BLM and why Black people aren’t doing the same.

There are a bunch of South Asian & Arab Muslims saying this kinda s***. Completely erasing the fact that Black Muslims exists.

    Here’s a SS for context.

S*** is sick. This is stuff on Twitter only.

On TikTok whenever a Black person commits a crime especially it’s against an Asian person you’ll see a lot of scum saying “but BLM” or “they only care about racism when it affects them” and other racist s***. It is social media after all but one thing I’ve learned that will forever stick with me is Black people are truly alone outchea.

Other races either see us as low or when they “support” us it’s only conditional. They complain that we get upset over racism yet expect us to speak for all ethnic minorities. Truly a sick world.

  • Do they just want every black person to hashtag free Palestine?

Attacking black people for not supporting other movements is corny and lame but there isn’t anything wrong with questioning a perceived lack of support

It’s a healthy conversation to have as long as it’s civilized. Trashing George Floyd and BLM isn’t gonna get people anywhere

S*** like that is why I say niggas need to stop jumping to defend others so quick because when it comes down to it they’ll slander us regardless of what we’re doing. We all we got at the end of the day.

These are anti-black racists trying to act like they're not. It's known a lot of arabs and south asians are anti-black. A lot of the 'support' people give to BLM for example is performative, because they wanna seem like good people. When people start comparing BLM with s*** like this they're just exposing themselves lmao

I say this as a south asian muslim myself.

The support Palestine is getting all over the world from every single group is amazing to see. These people are just blind fools that are ignoring that on purpose, because they're anti-black and they're doing the opression olympics thing

  • May 12, 2021

All over twitter all of my black mutuals have been talking about Palestine but i'll still find that random arab crying about the fact that not every single person in the whole world is talking about it

Let’s be real, a lot of people and races don’t really care about the other people and races, they just have to look that way on the outside so they aren’t shunned/cancelled by society

It’s just basic survival and way of thinking - I’ll take care of mine, you take care of yours

Supporting BLM and everything that built up to 2020 riots was a movement as big as it was because the people that hopped on didn’t want to be displayed as sitting idle — then their activism really ended at posting a black screen on Instagram

People just want their problems solved — and if you don’t aid in that, then it’s f*** you

99.9% of social media 'activism' is nothing more than self-serving posturing for likes and internet clout. Few are concerned with actual justice -- it's more important that they look hip to the latest tragedy.

The entire point of the BLM movement is that black people aren't just 'one way' or only deserving of respect when they are complying with you. It's black Jews that support Israel, black Muslims that support Palestine, black people that are general sympathizers of both sides, and black people that don't know enough about this 1000+ year old conflict to broadcast an opinion about it. Making BLM transactional is just one way these clowns reveal themselves as the frauds they are

Then why are Black people always fighting for people that don’t like us?

I’m not even gonna cap and say we love everyone but majority of the time we’re the most accepting (compared to how others treat us) it’s not often that we take back our support if someone doesn’t support us especially the way people do to us.

Constantly BLM BLM BLM. I get that it was a massive movement but now that racists have made the movement into something it’s not it has become way more acceptable to be racist towards it

Like someone already said most of these people are actually anti-black and just trying to find an excuse to go on the offensive

    Why are we that way?
I think you just have to look at our history in the US and see why we try to treat people with kindness and fairness, something we had to literally die for to get
It would be bad on anyone to not practice what they preach — so black people generally accepting and trying to offer support to other marginalized groups isn’t far-fetched at all
It just sucks that if we miss something, or don’t put all our efforts in on one thing for a certain group/people, we’re perceived as “not trying” or “lazy” towards their movement or whatever — like we’re not still fighting for ourselves at every moment in this weak ass country
