Yes
Why do y’all love claiming non-black cultures as black? Is the beautiful culture you already have not good enough? The Native Americans were in no way black
for real tho the actual black people suffering in Africa and America can’t afford Disney plus, this is an exclusive look at black representation for people that have the necessary devices and funds to pay for entertainment subscriptions on the side. $6.99 a month is more than most peoples entire wages in a lot of Africa
she could wield her influence and money to help the ppl in Africa she’s using to sell Disney plus memberships lol
Same Disney that swindled South African artists for their rights to a song from the lion king soundtrack (og)

The fact that people actually believe that hotep s*** baffles me. There is literally no evidence to back it up whatsoever
But a lot of Africam Americans have have American Indian on their DNA.

Because they have no identity/feel shame in being black while also needing to overcompensate for being told their culture means nothing by saying "I am everything and everyone is me".
One of the biggest problems is everytime we see this type of project that's supposed to be showing love to African culture it's always the kings and Queens and African royalty type s***. Actual Africans will tell you that isn't their reality. It's the same thing as assuming all AAs love hip hop and drink and smoke and what not.
This is my bigger issue with this. I don't see a problem with the Africana theme, but with the monarchy theme. Monarchy is deeply unjust, undemocratic and unequal
But a lot of Africam Americans have have American Indian on their DNA.
In actuality the average black American only has 2-3% native DNA. The vast majority of their DNA is West African, with some European DNA as well due to the brutal rape of African slaves in America

Again. A lot of AA have American Indian DNA.

Why do you deny anything outside of Africa the right to be called "black"?
In any other scenario we'd be able to agree that a tribal, dark skinned, dark haired person would be considered black.

This is the truth, and it’s truly a shame because various African cultures as well as black American cultures are beautiful. Black American culture is one of the most pervasive cultures on the planet, it’s something to be proud of. It’s sad they can’t see that
You have no idea what you're talking about
If you want to get someone to change their mind, you should lay out how they are wrong

American Indian DNA is native DNA, and the average African American only has 2-3% native DNA

You're not arguing against what I said are you?
Cause if so, you're failing.

Capitalism =/= selling things
Capitalism has existed for about 200 years. For it being "human nature", most of human history did not have capitalism.

There are many Indians who are as dark or darker than anybody you would find in Africa or America. Are they black as well? Do you seriously believe that dark skinned=black?

But wouldn't this prove his point lol
His original reply was to someone that ask are the Native Americans black ? And he said no. Black people have some native dna but natives only have native DNA

The further we go back in history does the world get more or less black? Serious question.

All I said was most Black Americans have native DNA.
I wasnt arguing that Natives were black.

Oh but why respond with "but alot of AA have native dna" then ? Just seems a weird reply to his reply ig

Did you watch the film, though? At the end of the film...a male voice over literally defines the term "King" and it had NO reference what so ever to monarchy or anything related to being unjust, undemocratic, and unequal.
Kinda feel like some of y'all go in with preconceived notions and/or don't actually watch or listen to what is being presented.

Still don't like it. I get the intention. But those same kings and queens we now seek to re-interpret sold their population off to slavery in those days. I guess it's a cultural thing. My ancestors are from a country that had royalty until not too long ago and it's nothing nice. This is like trying to make the word dictator something positive.
And it coming from a woman that gets called Queen Bey, is a billionaire and portrays herself as some divine being doesn't help either
The further we go back in history does the world get more or less black? Serious question.
It gets more black. That doesn’t mean that everyone is black tho. I ask again, is a dark skin Indian today black just because he’s dark skinned? Do you think only black people can be dark skinned?

What's the new definition of king according to the film?
