Norma McCorvey was the plaintiff behind the landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade. McCorvey would later become an anti-abortion activist for the rest of her life. However, a documentary filmed in 2017 shorty before her death reveals that she admitted to being paid off by right-wing activists and played along with their agenda.

this is pretty interesting mainly because in a lot of private schools, they absolutely drill kids with propaganda regarding abortion and the above case is one of the things they always bring up. that being exposed like this really drills a massive hole through the stuff they say.

this is only tangentially related but ive always thought that democrats (and separately, the left) are very lucky that the GOP & american right for the most part attach themselves to hardline stances on arbitrary social issues. their arbitrary stances on social issues, particularly stuff like abortion or other evangelical-derivative voting platforms, act as a hurdle for people who may otherwise without criticism fully support them (not to say the opposition doesn't have these hurdles too). if the party had any more variety regarding social issues within it which overlapped as such, I think the GOP would be a monolith so ubiquitous with this country's population no other party would be able to poke it.

Well, actually you did kind of outright say that “globalists and zionists” are rich, white elites trying to influence the masses through public opinion.

The post I quoted pinned it on rich whites but it's not that simple.

There are non-white/jewish globalists too btw.

I feel you 100% but if the GOP got rid of these extreme, harsh, arbitrary social policies, then they would basically just be the Libertarian party, which ON PAPER doesn’t sound too disagreeable (Gary Johnson was a f***ing nut tho)

They'd just be the DNC with a different target audience.

Why isn't it accepted that most conservative talking heads are paid to spew nonsense, we wouldn't be stuck debating the same old stale topics if that weren't the case

Would it really change the status quo, because when it comes down to those more serious matters, the DNC are seldom voting differently from the GOP
