People who consider themselves to have a pretty nice, enjoyable and successful life:

are you nostalgic over the past? Do you prefer past favorites over modern things?

If you’re on the other end of the spectrum, same question applies to you

    please share your thoughts

Been thinking on this recently as my 20s are coming to an end next year. It’s a tough concept to deal with. Things always seem better in retrospect, but I’m learning as I get older to be more appreciative of the moment I’m living in, rather than reminiscing on times where I’m probably not even recollecting accurately.

Nostalgia to me, is mostly a good thing. It signals I have enough mental breathing room to journey back into the past. I dont see it as a bad thing like so many people. It feels good to go back sometimes, f*** it. Just dont stay there lol. Or you become that guy who always talks about high school and similar s***

I'm proud of almost everything that I have done and I look back with joy. I keep that in mind when I'm focused on trying to make new memories instead of trying recreate that feeling through nostalgia.

there was a point in my life where all i did was look back at old things didn’t want to move on and didn’t want to grow up
im way past that stage now and have been slowly improving my life over the past couple months
no choice but to move on and focus in the future
