blackedI rraly don’t see whats special about him. His verses all sound like he’s not trying tbh. It feels like I’m just listening to kendrick demos, which probably sounds like a put down but i don’t mean it like that. Like there are some good ideas here and there, but it sounds like he doesn’t go out of his way to polish up on weird deliveries and flows. I’ve never heard a verse from him that I assumed he wrote, sounds like everything he does is freestyled. Might work for some ppl, but when your tracks consistently don’t rhyme and you’re repeating phrases and words over and over just to fill space I’m kinda gonna question your rapping ability
Praise god is such a great example of this. Everything leading up to that track set him up to go off and then he wastes 30 seconds just saying random s***, followed up by a few bars and then some spastic auto tune lines. Like is there anyone who actually thinks he spazzed on this? I f***ing hate Travis Scott and even he did better than keem on here. I’m just not getting it manI'm not going to speak on his Donda verse b/c i couldn't get that far into it, but other than that he's been fun to listen to. All of his stuff doesn't sound like the same song 100 times the like many, many other rappers. He may not be a top tier lyricist but it is entertaining and catchy. Die For My B**** only has 1 skip for me and that's the "My ex" song. My most played album behind Kodak's Dying To Live that year.
