The album is more 21 playing support to Drake than a collab that emphasizes 21’s strengths shown so good on Jimmy Cooks. A lot like Jay Z on a written testimony, except jay elect kinda kept getting washed on that album.

I've had over 5 months with it and even before we got Her Loss, I knew Jimmy Cooks was an average-at-best record that Drake fans jumped on because it was the only rap record on Honestly, Nevermind. Even before Her Loss, I had it behind Knife Talk and Sneakin' in a ranking of Drake/21 collabs. Now that Her Loss is out, it has dropped way down the line.

If you really think Jimmy Cooks is top 5 in anything Drake has dropped then you have s*** taste.

Even the weakest song on Her Loss is a better listen lol. Jimmy Cooks was cool but that's all it was. 21 delivered an incredible verse but its not a top-tier Drake song in any regard because listening to Her Loss, you can tell Drake took it easy to lay it up for 21 to finish things off. Same way he did for Lil Baby on Wants and Needs.

It's okay if people really love those songs but I always prefer Drake songs where he doesn't feel the need to hold back for anyone. Her Loss is as good as it is because it felt like Drake unleashed or some s***.

And that's perfectly okay. Drake has an all-time catalog. Many of the songs off Her Loss wouldn't make my top 50 either but that just speaks to how incredible Drake's catalog is, not that Her Loss is weak in any way lol.
