worth noting the first ukraine thread started with most posters claiming russia wouldn’t invade and it was made up

let’s see if the anti ukrainians can start with more dignity and intelligence this time

even now with it having been so long im still shocked putin was stupid enough to invade ukraine. regardless of the outcome, the fact its still going on at all points to it being probably one of the stupidest geopolitical moves in modern history. US in vietnam or US in afghanistan tier.

i don't know about that. if anything vietnam & afghanistan ultimately had little consequence for the US in the wider scheme of things; failures or sure, but they didnt necessarily lead to innate withering of US influence or power. if anything they can be seen as wastes of resources and military power that caused domestic backlash/cultural fragmentation. even if russia comes out of the war with over half of ukranian territory and/or a puppet govt there, the consequences of the war will be seen by russia for generations - regardless of what anti-ukraine people online say. the only real party who benefited from the war is china indirectly (and maybe India).

oh i agree on this - Putin has effectively made it so he can only govern with the chinese hand up his ass

he’s a puppet- it’s the Rus duchies subservience to the Mongols all over again (not exactly but parallels)

no one loves war, but not talking about war will never make it less awful. sounds like you advocate repression

we wouldn’t have a war to talk about it if put it lightly, the regime in control of russia just f***ed off and left people alone. that’s literally it.

I should've thought beforehand that that sentiment was leveled at you before and that wasn't my intention when i typed it

i was just trying to have a bit of gallows humor

I think its good there's a new thread because there may be some dramatic shifts happening soon? who knows

I was just posting Sarah because she's and interesting and hilarious character. The person posting the tweet is obviously a pro-russian/anti Ukrainian account though.

There was no country in 13th century called Afghanistan.

There was no country in 13th century called Afghanistan.

Yes it would work better on multiple levels if Afghanistan was replaced with Iran (also reflecting the locations of the Golden Horde, Yuan, and Ilkhanate, and the largest and most prominent countries of today conquered by the Mongols) but I didn’t make it so oh well
