Went to the NY SOBs listening party and just got back home, learned a lot about the album. DJ Akademiks actually showed up for a bit for whatever reason. He looks really round and short in person lol.
First off, the DJs were kind of annoying. They spent too much time playing older songs vs the new songs. The DJs played some songs 4x because they didn't keep track of what the last DJ played. They didn't really play any HABIBTI which is lame.
The Dust to Shabang track run is crazy. Ran to Atlanta is an absolute hit live.
Burning Bridges is the ultimate song for you when you are with your homeboys at the club, Drake made the song with crack or something. Plot Twist and National Treasures give that same vibe with your crew energy.
2 Hard for The Radio is really fun live, one of the tracks on the albums that actually uses a beat switch really well and the switch doesn't feel forced.
Hoe Phase will get a lot of play.
Also, I'm probably one of the biggest Dog House haters on this earth. It pains me to say it was hitting live. I think the beat saves it.
All and all, the new albums hit another level live. Hopefully DJs play them this weekend at clubs
@op just curious what was the crowd like? Couldn't convince my friends to go bc they thought it was gonna be mad annoying stan dudes who watch streamers and s*** lol

It was actually the opposite. A TON of baddies, some couples, some girl friend groups and some dudes who came with their homeboys to vibe.
I can say the narrative black women stopped listening to Drake is false because there were a ton of beautiful black women there.
Very diverse group of people and no one was pushing bad vibes. Good crowd.
