Imo, I Am Is down there with Hip Hop is Dead and Streets Disciple as his worst projects tbh.

Yeah. This and "I Gave You Power" are the songs that actually got me into Nas. They were on a burned mix cd that my friend let me borrow. I told my brother and he gave me It Was Written. At least one of the songs I heard was on there, I didn't listen to Illmatic until a few years later and the rest is history.

Facts, whole album is mad overlooked too because of some of the mainstream cuts that the label forced him to put. If you disregard those you can see that the album had potential to be a classic if not for the leaks
