Classiquei can tell you for sure illegal immigrants get an apartment in midtown manhattan and a debit card with spending money. they’ve been reserving hotels and even cleaned out an elderly home to accommodate them. squatters have a lot of protections but don’t get all the benefits illegals get. i think they’re building housing communities in maine for the illegals but who knows

People on the first few pages seem to be misunderstanding the situation and thinking these people are actual tenants or this is a landlord problem
Nah man these squatters literally break into homes that don’t belong to them and live there for free. Change the locks and set up shot. Fabricate fake leases. Then laws protect them and you can’t get rid of them without jumping through hoops

"Rent to be paid by the owner to the city" You mean a property tax? Then there's the HOA fee, maintenance fees, common charges, insurance. I hope this woman finds someone to sell the property to and get the hell out of that hell hole. It's not fair to her to pay all the taxes, fees and maintenance and then get arrested for someone claiming it as their own.
