    Noir

Like any of us have done a damn thing to spend our days holding court over popular culture on KTT

that’s very true Noir but at least none of us have the bloodstained hands of an american president

That's why I'd never run. Too many concessions and bad influences. It brings out the worst in a person. By the end, people assume you were a sociopathic war criminal from the start lol

Rap as it is now has just ran it’s course,we need to see what Kendricks gonna do but I wouldn’t be surprised if he never even drops again cause he’s probably feeling uninspired. Hip Hop is suppose to reflect modern society in some way and touch on it but the s*** has turned into 100% entertainment just like you guys wanted.

Now people realizing that rap doesn’t matter and it’s harming society at large cause it breeds negativity. People trying to do better, especially the black community and their starting to realize they don’t need raps fantasyland anymore.

But rap is literally reflecting society rn lol

We're in the clout era where everyone wants to be famous, make money and have some sort of power.

Don't get me wrong, I don't fw most of the mainstream rappers out rn but Rap definitely reflects the current era we're in

He's right but people will never admit how degenerate and superficial hip-hop has become. They think criticizing and denouncing Hip-Hop is disrespecting a valid and vibrant segment of black culture. They will always say there is some obscure rappers out there rapping about real stuff, but at the end of the day mainstream Hip-Hop is what most black kids and teenagers are exposed to, and all it do is glorify degeneracy, promiscuity, irresponsibility and materialism to an already broken community.

  • Nov 17, 2020

But rap is suppose to be sorta anti-culture in a way also, rappers are suppose to call out the bullshit in society but also make it compelling enough to listen too,no one does that now. I remember a critic calling Kendrick “the black peoples CNN”he reported on black culture and what he thinks as a great MC/rapper should.

But there’s only one Kendrick compared to a barrel of Youngboy clones.
