I would say my main criticism with Leia child is that I’m sick and tired of the “protagonist baby sits child for a good portion of the show” in these SW shows

I feel like we're still in an Era where things are changing and shifting, so yeah some things might feel a bit shoehorned in, there are a lot of exemples of movies made in the past years that try to go in the girl power bag but fail miserably at it and I feel like the biggest problem is that Hollywood at its core is a s***ty place and shouldn't be the main driving force behind it, executives and producers don't give a f*** about anything other than making money... I think the real driving force for positive change and progress in movies and TV should be the creatives, writers, directors, etc.

Agreed, the best way to insert all of these great progressive things is to do it in a way where it feels very natural and fitting with the narrative.

Definitely and I feel like as long as most big projects are handled by executives instead of creatives we won't see that

What tends to annoy me is even some of the most problematic people i know who have some very big sexist & racist tendencies in them they love narratives like BCS with great amazing well written women & minorities in the show.

Feels like that’s the power of great narratives that weave in these things very naturally.
