Damn Obi wans an a****** for making Luke kill his father when he had plenty of opportunities to do it himself
Which is why he shouldn't have beaten him here
They couldn’t even half ass a excuse for why Kenobi wouldn’t finish off Vader here
Which is why he shouldn't have beaten him here
He should have but it should have been executed better
Yup. A lot of trash plot / characters / writing all around him but he still shined bright throughout. My favorite Jedi
Exactly my take
Ewan is such a great actor man
He completely bodied this
hard carried this show
Top 5 Duels
5.
the quickest duel of the entire franchise but leaving the one of the biggest impacts as Maul finally finds a little bit of peace and reconciliation with his long time enemy Kenobi, this duel shows the contrast in growth between the two and truly feels like closure to one of the more unique villainous characters we have gotten in the franchise.
4.
had this been the way Ahsoka Tano would have gone out then it would have been one of the most perfect conclusions for her character, not leaving her master Anakin this time and staying with him until her bitter end. This fight has incredible dialogue, action, stakes and sadness within the entire time. “Then you will die braver then most” is one of the most badass Vader lines in the franchise
”i am no Jedi”
I won’t leave you, not this time — then you will die
3.
this duel is so f***ing great, i s*** on the prequels a lot but man this is literally the best that the prequels has to offer, the emotional weight of this duel is insane, the backdrop of the lava, the high ground, anakin’s ”I HATE YOU”
The choreography of the fight is super f***ing sick as well, a tad too long for my taste which is why it isn’t higher but god damn was this a duel
2.
this is what a f***ing Jedi truly is a man who steps up to the plate, takes responsibility for his actions that contributed to Kylo Ren’s rise, apologies but stands firm and saves his friends, family and the resistance in the most peaceful means possible with one of the most powerful utilizations of the force ever done in a SW film period, KYLO full of anger, loathing, self loathing, too distracted to see that this is a illusion of a man he once held in such high regards… a man who betrayed him deeply, a hurt soul taking his rage out in any means he can… only to realize he was played like a fool this is cinema, this is Star Wars
1.
It will never be topped, every duel’s goal in the franchise is to at least achieve a fraction of how amazing this duel is… A duel for me is more about the dialogue, the underlying story surrounding the characters within the duel, every cross of the sabers is impactful, every reveal, every intense moment that overwhelms Luke when he realizes how outmatched and how much more there is to his story then he even realizes… every line is iconic, the performances are pitch f***ing perfect, Vader has never been more iconic and menacing then in this fight, this duel. This will never be topped to me, period. It’s perfect Star Wars

Revenge Of The Sith Mustafar #1

nawww duel of fates goated
Luke nearly killed his own father out of pure anger, you cannot convince me that just because he got his s*** together by the end of one narrative that over a period of 30 years he is a character who cannot have conflict & flaws within him.
It’s next level delusional cope and very telling to me that you are the kind of person who wanted the safest and most boring of Star Wars movies ever, you wanted the true boring bland milk toast SW with characters who have no conflict, no more to learn about/from and no more intrigue, period.
You wanted a cameo not a character
Get ‘em
You're absolutely right, and Mark Hamill agrees with you btw
Have you heard Mark Hamils ideas for how Luke should have been portrayed? They are horrible. Love the dude but he’s no storyteller

Not a single sable crossing on your #2 tho
TLJ Luke is what literally put Luke Skywalker in my top 3 SW characters tbh.
TLJ Luke was made into a legend and a true hero for the galaxy
GOAT status
nawww duel of fates goated
Duel of the fates has no emotional impact for me personally
GOAT SW music piece tho lowkey
Not a single sable crossing on your #2 tho
That's the whole point of it. Most Jedi s*** ever.

A duel is much more then sabers striking one another
That's the whole point of it. Most Jedi s*** ever.
It’s Jedi af but not really a duel imo
Its not the fact Luke makes a mistake... It's that the mistake is a stupid one that makes no sense. Also it's how Luke reacts to it as well. Why would Luke run away and become a hermit leaving his friends to die? Luke would lay down his life to protect his friends but he just runs away. But this is all because of the trash setup in TFA. All so we could get back that original trilogy nostalgia with the empire vs rebels s***.
Y’all complain about Luke too much and just let go the fact that for no reason at all han and Leia are seperated which is more of a character assassination
Worst decision that set these movies up to fail
Jj abrams set Star Wars up for failure
Then
Dug in the knife when rian Johnson saved and cleaned up jjs stupidity

Agree to disagree

King Rian came through, did his thing then said “ight fam i trust y’all will resolve this properly, peace”
And then they s*** on his baby
