wasn't it on the recording she heard?
I thought it just said get back to tatooine for the boy
Didn’t specify he was Vader’s son

i think it was evident from the recording tbh. i forget exactly the words she heard but it was something about making sure vader didn't know about his kids

I must have missed that. Makes sense i suppose
If vader got out and followed Obi wan, alone, in his own ship, why the hell wouldn’t he just allow the star destroyer to follow the rebels
Beautifully shot episode
They finally got the tone right. Really felt like the right mix between episodes 3 and 4. No cringey humor or characters to ruin the mood
Story still wasn’t great, but better than most of the other episodes
Final showdown between Vader & Obiwan might be amongst the best of the Disney era
Overall this was a fun “what if” viewing experience, but still not canon as far as I’m concerned

SW logic
Also, missed opportunity for Vader to tell Obi Wan “I have the high ground”
Considering how fan service based this show was I'm actually shocked they didn't, must ve forgot
show slapped despite what the resident KTT nerds are crying about
season 2 can’t come soon enough
Show was iight. I want more live action grand inquisitor tbh even though he doesn’t look utapauan
Top 5 Duels
5.
the quickest duel of the entire franchise but leaving the one of the biggest impacts as Maul finally finds a little bit of peace and reconciliation with his long time enemy Kenobi, this duel shows the contrast in growth between the two and truly feels like closure to one of the more unique villainous characters we have gotten in the franchise.
4.
had this been the way Ahsoka Tano would have gone out then it would have been one of the most perfect conclusions for her character, not leaving her master Anakin this time and staying with him until her bitter end. This fight has incredible dialogue, action, stakes and sadness within the entire time. “Then you will die braver then most” is one of the most badass Vader lines in the franchise
”i am no Jedi”
I won’t leave you, not this time — then you will die
3.
this duel is so f***ing great, i s*** on the prequels a lot but man this is literally the best that the prequels has to offer, the emotional weight of this duel is insane, the backdrop of the lava, the high ground, anakin’s ”I HATE YOU”
The choreography of the fight is super f***ing sick as well, a tad too long for my taste which is why it isn’t higher but god damn was this a duel
2.
this is what a f***ing Jedi truly is a man who steps up to the plate, takes responsibility for his actions that contributed to Kylo Ren’s rise, apologies but stands firm and saves his friends, family and the resistance in the most peaceful means possible with one of the most powerful utilizations of the force ever done in a SW film period, KYLO full of anger, loathing, self loathing, too distracted to see that this is a illusion of a man he once held in such high regards… a man who betrayed him deeply, a hurt soul taking his rage out in any means he can… only to realize he was played like a fool this is cinema, this is Star Wars
1.
It will never be topped, every duel’s goal in the franchise is to at least achieve a fraction of how amazing this duel is… A duel for me is more about the dialogue, the underlying story surrounding the characters within the duel, every cross of the sabers is impactful, every reveal, every intense moment that overwhelms Luke when he realizes how outmatched and how much more there is to his story then he even realizes… every line is iconic, the performances are pitch f***ing perfect, Vader has never been more iconic and menacing then in this fight, this duel. This will never be topped to me, period. It’s perfect Star Wars
All too easy
Wonder how many cookie cutter disney rehashes it will take before TLJ will at some point become acclaimed
A Hella lot of ppl not only hated it with a passion but even blamed Abrams s*** bag sequel on it and not Abrams himself for going out of his way to not follow up on it lmao
Palpatine looked absolutely horrendous
Totally forgot about him but yea nigga looked like he was made of clay

I feel like people argue over the new trilogy when all of them are between a 6.5 and 6.8 out of 10. They’re all similar mid.
TLJ is probably my favorite but I only ever watched them once. Might re watch at some point.
so Obi Wan couldve killed Vader all by himself and couldve teamed up with Yoda to fight Palpy but he had other plans 😐
Writers too lazy to even bother giving a real reason obi Wan doesn't kill Vader, just has him walk away, so much for "this ends today'
