There will be a point in the series where he most likely realizes the galaxy still needs the Jedi and him cutting himself off from the force is going to be doing the galaxy more bad than good in the long run.

Ps - the emotional toll and burden of what happened Post-ROTS and him not using any force abilities for 10 years would make him say he’s not the Jedi he once was. Confidence has taken a massive knock.
