I'm sorry but this first episode was BAD. Like, really bad.

It's looking like the Mandalorian was a fluke since Boba Fett was completely pointless and this has way too much filler on what should be the strongest episodes

So, through his talk with the other Jedi obi-wan informs us, the audience, how he has given up on his Jedi ideals (abhorrent decision on the writer's part btw) but despite this he still wishes to be a mentor to Luke!? - major character contradiction, make it make sense. I mean if they were gonna have him "live a normal life" and throw his jedi ideals in the trash they could've at least given him some b****es.

That moment where the cartoony as f*** Reva is INCHES away from murdering Owen, obi-wan just gawks like a fkn idiot. The show even establishes how deraged she is by having her nonchalantly chop a woman's hand in the previous scene. I guess if that other inquisitor hadn't conveniently stepped in, Owen would've been a goner.

Obi-wan in general comes across as pathetic, incompetent, and unlikable.
