I want to know what the Bengals think they're gaining from dragging this extension out knowing full well that they're going to end up caving anyway
At this point even if they paid Chase literally while I'm typing this post it's a major longshot that he's 100% for week 1 and maybe even week 2, and that's not to mention the increased risk for soft tissue injuries because he's missed all of camp and practices
Totally different from the Aiyuk situation where there were legit trade talks/reservations about giving him the contract. There doesn't exist a scenario in which Chase doesn't get what he wants, so the Bengals are only hurting themselves by prolonging this for no reason
