A lot of rappers talk about how they’ll get a hit song, then they’ll meet some BIG big exec, and the exec takes him out, shows him wonders he never thought he’d see.
Then after the best night of your life they say to you, “you’re making big waves. Are you gonna play by the rules or you gonna be a problem?” (Usually playing by the rules mean being a s***slave or committing some criminal act, both of which they use to blackmail you). If you were deemed a “problem” (Think Kanye, Chappelle, Britney Spears, Bieber, T.I., etc.) they used every tool in their arsenal to take you down (usually via media crucifixion) or they just straight up kill you (Amy Winehouse, Xxxtentacion, Anthony Bourdain, Pimp C, Patrice O’Neal, etc.)
