Just started learning about ether but gas refers to the cost of programing and building on the etherium network that we are buying coins on.
Basically those gas prices are the coins to etherium which can be considered the dollar in the network.
Am I close @0 ? I watched some videos from crypto Casey lol
first part is ok
gas price is used to pay for the computational cost of the smart contract you are interacting with
you are forced to pay a fee so that the miners who broadcast the transactions on the blockchain include yours in a timely manner
the more you pay, the faster your transaction gets added to the list
the more complex the contract you interact with, the more this fee will be as well
for example, to send ETH from one address to another is much cheaper than interacting with Uniswap
I know I been throwing my money around kinda haphazardly but I fr think that these long term gains will be worth it
It’s why I’m pumping money near current ATH’s
It is FOMO but I’m a f***ing Uber driver making ends meet and I want to pump in a little at a time (ya I’d rather pump in a chunk a cash, but then that FOMO sets in of “what if it takes off without me”)
Lol so far I’ve only put enough money where that if Bitcoin and eth doubled, id really only come out with $100 gains
Does what I’m doing make any sense or should I jump off a bridge?.....or both

No you're doing the right play doing dollar cost averaging. But you should try to buy less when it jumps high af. Let it settle down for a few hours or a day.
Y'all pump nu so i can cut my losses

Heardddd
I have huge expectations for ether cuz it’s still at that fraction of a price compared to BTC, and considering the ceiling/potential Btc still has that the rest of this market is tied to, I just can’t see it not growing within the next decade
how long did it take anyone to have their bank be accepted after you did a wire transfer?
I did not want to mess with plaid lol

Idk what bank you got, but if it’s your first wire transfer to Gemini then it’s gonna take a little longer b/c your bank might want to call you first to validate the wire transfer. Once you confirm it should take 2-4 hrs for it to be deposited into your Gemini account if you followed the instructions correctly.
