Buying Apple stock before the stock spilt is:
a. Good Idea
b. Awful Idea
I just bought some today, I was gonna wait till after the split but realized how nonsensical that is, and I don't think the price is gonna be cheaper, probably ever.
If you're not long on Apple and QQQ
Tesla is f***ing ridiculous but that's one where the value is still being determined by the marketplace more so than most stocks imo. I do feel like there's a difference there once they split, especially since it's their first time doing so. I'll probably buy in after that.
Ethereums going to 500 !
Why do you think so? Is there anything inherent in what's going on with ETH right now that makes it implicitly less volatile than other crypto? Do you think it will stay at 500, or drop back down to who knows where?
I don't believe in crypto in the long run, I feel like governments and big banks are gonna find a way to shave off what makes it unique, but I'm always open to hearing informed opinions and being proven wrong. I'd like to find a time to buy in for ETH or BTC for a small part of my portfolio if I can see a reason it makes sense and isn't a gamble.
Obviously if you're researching crypto all the time and making intelligent plays on upcoming ones to make bank that's pretty amazing, but I don't the time or interest in the space to do so.
Do you feel ETH is the cyrpto to buy? If so, why?

almost all of the defi space and new coin/token presales are run on the ethereum network
a bubble is starting to form in those areas again like it did in 2017-2018
against bitcoin, litecoin and most other crypto assets ethereum is up more over the last 3 months by a lot in some cases
I think ethereum has more upside but also more downsides than something like bitcoin, because if the network fees get too high and if ether can scale fast enough it could hurt it in the short term
if it can scale right ethereum with the defi space could replace regular banking for people and offer much high interest rates on dollars

Appreciate the insight and thoughts. It does feel like a bubble to me. Even though I don't personally see the value that everyone else does, at the right price I'd buy back in when it inevitably crashes again, but if it doesn't that's a good sign for crypto.
As far as replacing banking, do you really think big banks, the fed, and world governments are going to allow that to happen? Even if they did, I think there's a security in banking that most people who love crypto devalue.

how would they regulate it & ban it? people can use crypto still even if the government tried to make it illegal and it would just be harder for them to track and everyone with it would never pay taxes on it tbh and it would just make it harder for none criminals & easier for countries that embrace crypto like china
i find it unlikely they’d ban it out right
credit unions replace banking for a lot of people and they don’t try and ban those and a lot of people in DC are actually sympathetic to crypto and there is even crypto lobbying
i don’t think the government cares if some part of the population started using crypto loans / savings accounts instead of banks as long as people pay taxes and the irs is already starting to invest tons into ledger auditing
also the bubble will pop but that’s just how new crypto markets start imo, the more mature these products get the slower they’ll go up but they’ll stabilize more
we haven’t reached a full super bubble, eth & bitcoin need to reach all time highs
also fdic insurance is only so high, for people with a lot of money i’d argue that having your private keys on the blockchain is far more secure than a bank account but yeah normies would be afraid

All good points. I don't really know, it's something I'm interested in watching but it feels overhyped to me, and always has. Obviously hype or no, if I would have invested years ago I'd be rich right now and I actually had friends who made some really good money so there is an element where I feel like I missed out, but I think that crazy ATH was a once in a lifetime opportunity...we saw how long it lasted.
We'll see. The truth is I just don't understand it and I've still never read a good explanation or had anyone explain to me why it's so important. I understand what blockchain is, I just don't see what the big deal is.
If it drops down super low again I'll probably pick some up so I don't have the occasional FOMO.

You forgot Omisego
Haven’t checked my portfolio in a minute still got coins from 2017
still in the red but its been going up for the last few days
What are your thoughts about RSR?
never really liked it actually
haven't followed them too closely recently but did a lot of research a year ago and came away unimpressed by both the team as well as the go to market strategy. very well known investors/venture funds though so that drew in a lot of people
it's 20x'd since then, so i was wrong at some level obv
there is a lot of speculative interest but i'd say there's still tons of operational risk in this one
i'd be very careful too as the promotion of this token includes a lot of paid shill groups on telegram etc and could easily dump a lot given the long accumulation phase it had as well as the aforementioned early investors taking profits
anyway buy BAT before it's too late hehehe
Had a TSLA but order in at 1850 since Monday lunch time and it never hit ahhh

Thought i had a small bag stuck on idex
Turns out it’s still only $40 worth after the 20x
I remember an order didn’t get filled fully & it wasn’t worth withdrawing
TSLA is how market crashes start..way way way overvalued
