fundamental misunderstanding of the value proposition of NFTs

I can see positives for NFT's bring a good value to digital artists in my field, but I see the complaints in that same field as well.
Any other sector I can't really comment on

No man, the picture you link makes no sense. Why would he add fake glasses to the comic book? What's even the point of what you linked?
I don't get it

That he can make a new edit and create it as a new NFT and possibly sell it?
That's what I'm understanding from it and some other people make the same point on insta
If that's not how it works then I learned something new then

ok so he makes a new edit... and to do so they are forced to create a whole new NFT with a new unique ID that is different than the original and has none of the same values of the original piece of work
the tech would work exactly as it intends. it does not allow the artist to create a duplicate and pass it off as the original in any way
if you want to critique anything you should critique the scammy artist and their ethical behavior on minimal changing of their art
not to mention how artists should be most concerned with their own reputations in order to sell in the first place
but what does it have to do with how NFTs work?

what's the expected sell price?

Honestly, we have no idea lol. I think the person who pushed the auction live set the reserve at 1 eth, so we’ll see if the people agree with that or not.
We have a press release going out to all the big sneaker blogs and some other outlets too with the actual release info along with the NFT stuff so hopefully that will amplify it.
Even if no one gives a f*** I’m pretty proud of the work and the fact that we were the first people in the sneaker world (that I know of) to try something like this.

what's the difference with me making 400 copies of a NFT of a comic I write/draw and me making and selling 400 physical copies of it signed
artists sell limited edition stuff all the time
I own plenty of vinyls that were only pressed and signed 500 times and there obviously much more than ones that are freely pressed on Amazon, artists use artificial scarcity to give their fans something special all the time
how is someone selling multiple copies of an NFT cheating some how
I guess I just don't understand the point that post if even trying to make lol but I get the feeling they don't understand NFTs
