the funny thing with bonds at the moment also is that there are plenty of projects that pay variable rates that are way higher on Stablecoins and there are even projects like Anchor on Terra paying out 20% APY flat
obviously the exploit risk is there verse bonds so it's not as safe but even places like Blockfi do 8.6%
if you wanna hold something stable for a few years to invest later or buy a house or something Stablecoins seems like the move if you can have a little more risk
I never fully understood or dug into how Blockfi offers those rates for stablecoins
I know they aren't SIPC insured, so that is a downside for something that doesn't have crazy returns like crypto
If banks adopt stablecoins and higher interest rates, I can see that being super popular
