saw this earlier on another board, really dope lineup! have you ever done bonnaroo? ive gone since 2014 & cant recommend it enough. By far my favorite festival experience with camping & music going to 8 am.

Out of the very large 4 (Roo, Coachella, ACL, Lolla), I have only been to Coachella a couple of times and have never camped, but I really want to get my group to camp

I think the original 2020 Roo lineup was better

Wanted to see Flume, Saint Jhn, Denzel Curry (seen before), and even Bassnectar

But they did add Tyler (who I saw at CFG, but would love to see if he got a new album) and Deadmau5 who I really want to see

Is the camping a better experience to you than a hotel?

Pros: Get to walk to the festival, different experience, maybe meet some cool people around, cool activities around

Cons: Not as comfortable, harder to make food, no private showers and bathrooms

i hate camping outdoors (i would never do it unless im at a music festival), and if you decide to go to bonnaroo, you have to camp instead of getting a hotel, or youre really missing out.

we usually stay in murfreesboro, tn the night before at a hotel so we get one last night of good sleep. Wake up thursday morning and hit the liquor store and walmart to grab the last of what we need and fill the coolers with ice. from murfreesboro its a straight 20 mile shot down the highway to bonnaroo.

you roll in, get out of your car for the volunteers to do a pretty laxed car check (looking mostly for weapons and items made of glass), then youre directed to where you will park your car. The area you are stationed to camp in is called a Plaza. Most plazas will have limited food vendors, but will also have bathrooms/portos and some also have the showers. Plazas also have activities at them, and each plaza has barns for different activities (House of Yes is a club, Little Cinema, Tonalism by Dublab for all night ambient music, and others). Then youll set up camp right outside your car, and if you have a big group youll want to all arrive at the same time so you can all camp next to eachother and have 2 to 3 (or more) campsites directly next to eachother. I suggest not sleeping in a tent, but setting up EZ ups and putting a cot underneath them to sleep on with a light blanket (tennessee will still be pretty hot in september).

Once youre ready to go into Centeroo, youll walk down the path to get to the Arch and scan your wristband, then all the stages, silent disco, and a plethora of food vendors are in there. Inside Centeroo they also have actual bathrooms, not just portos, as well as a s*** ton of water refill stations. You can pretty much do whatever you want inside centeroo without anyone bothering you (smoke,trip,roll,etc).

The two main stages arent open thursday, but the other stages are (the 2 main ones open up friday). "The Other" stage is the EDM stage which will run until sunrise each day/night. Most headliners play until 12 am - 1 am on the main stage, then late night acts will play simultaneously at the other 4 stages until around 3:30 am, after that The Other will continue until sunrise.
There is no curfew in Centeroo, and whenever youre ready to head back to camp you just walk out of Centeroo and go back to your campsite.

also, there is a new activity they added in 2019 called "Where in the Woods," where its mostly smaller house/tech house acts playing in this wooded area that is right outside of Centeroo.
