how long would it take me to plot 150tb on a 2gb ssd? do you run a rack server for this or just keep a pc on?

I'm using 2 desktops with a 5800x

the 3 things that matter is plenty of ram, fast CPU and nvme bandwidth

to push a Desktop Ryzen or i7-i9 made in 2020-21 near its limits from my testing you'll need 2 2TB PCIe 4 drives or 4 1TB drives PCIe 3 drives

each plot uses 274Gb of NVMe space during the plotting

if you want to do 4 PCIe drives make sure whatever motherboards your using has PCIe bifurcation

you'll need 3.4Gib of RAM for every plot, 12 plots seems to be the sweet spot with a Desktop CPU

this spreadsheet is used by the Chia community, the amount of RAM some of these machines have is needlessly excessive but it will give some ideas how long plotting can take

I do 6.25Tib a day with 11 NVMe drives, TLC NVMe drives give me the best times
