It was backed by a lot of big companies but I just didn’t feel like it’s vision would survive.

That’s typical. They tank harder during a down trend and typically rally higher when BTC is in the bull.

Investing in alt coins that have stood the test of time is the way to go. Ofc past performance isn’t an indicator of future results but it provides a certain level of resiliency an alt coin may pose.
