Noob question about rug pulls, do the founder(s) of the s***coin cash out their large holdings which causes the price to tank? Or do they just steal all of the liquidity pool from what everyone's put in, effectively stealing other's money?

yup they basically drain all the liquidity from the pool leaving you with tokens you can't sell

The liquidity is usually in ETH right? Not like Tether or USDC?

yeah so like on Uniswap for example its 50% ETH, and 50% of the token they choose going in the pool
