i’ve seen Mr Carmack promote this for like 4 years now.

one of those soundcloud killers like Mixcloud or bandcamp.

it’s simply not happening, it’s like saying a search engine startup is going to kill Google Search.

market share is too high, you’d need to outdo decades of research and spend billions in marketing.

Disclosure went in heavy too, but it's not catching on. Tbh Tik Tok is the next soundcloud and will be for the foreseeable future

Your reasoning is also why I dont think BAT will replace Chrome

they dont need to replace soundcloud or chrome and become the standard

they just need some market share

they have other features and occup a different niche
