I'm going to buy a car in January, and deciding if I should pump my account with my 3K savings. Thoughts on this move? Obviously a profit would be ideal, but I won't be too shaken by a minor loss, as long as it isn't gargantuan which I don't see happening with Bitcoin anyway.

I was going to save up 7k by the end of the year to buy a car in January, I'm just at 3k right now. Yeah I think I'll keep whatever I have left in BTC.

I'm very new to the world of investments so not familiar with blockchains right now.

Yeah, I save 500 out of every check so I'll have it back and then some by the end of the year again. The worst I can imagine losing with BTC is around 1.5k by January, but I hope that doesn't happen.

Seeing as though your trying to make the safest move with the most profit, I'd suggest moving your btc to ETH. Eth has a smaller marketcap than btc & a lot more use case. Just as safe as holding btc too. That'd be my recommendation. For perspective, if you held btc and eth for the last 365 days, you would of made 7x or 8x the profit in eth compared to btc which would of gotten you 4x 5x profit.

I was looking at Ethereum, I think I'll move some portion of it there.

Whats funny is I totally forgot I had $40 in BTC from ~3 years ago when it was only worth 3.5k. I just checked again and it was at 500. Decent, but mother of christ am I still upset I missed that opportunity and only made a measly 460 out of it. I could have been in a house with 4 Audis in the garage right now. I don't think I'll ever get over that.
