My number one reason for believing in all this is quite literally a belief in the power of memes that has been being demonstrated for the last few years + the internet + a shared goal/cause.

No world reserve currency has ever lasted. Inflation in US is at highest in 40 years... about the exact amount of time since we moved from gold backing over to "the full faith and credit of the US government", which just means a dollar is worth a dollar cuz we all agree to that.
