idk if he's trolling but he def turned off some crypto bros lolpeople asking him why he was got arrested was my favorite part

As someone who’s been in crypto since 2015, my faith and love for crypto has been dying down. Maybe my younger self just didn’t understand things or had too optimistic of a goal (for crypto).
Crypto nowadays is just a leveraged ETF of the stock market (for the most part). That’s what institutionalization does though and I can’t really be mad at it. My concern for crypto and the optimism for it is that it’s really not “decentralized” and can get destroyed (by US/other Govs) practically whenever.
The US will let crypto live if they can benefit off it or shut it down if they can’t and if it’s harmful (to the US).

this is just a temporary part of the cycle for crypto
it will stop being seen as a leveraged NASDAQ some day but it will exist like that for a while as the supply is distributed more
Bitcoin is decentralized and Ethereum will become more decentralized overtime.. putting data on a Blockchain is expensive right now but has been falling fast
this technology is still in the early days, the scaling will improve many times over while staying decentralized but right now there are limits which is why you get projects like Solana
I think Goverments will like the power of Blockchains and smart contracts once they understand them and they scale at mass, will take some time for them to get them I think
