Damn xrp was a scam?
Not necessarily. The Finance industry is heavily regulated.
The SEC doesn't think it qualifies as an currency, but rather a security (like a stock or bond). In that case, they think the people (Ripple) behind XRP should've registered with them.
I know some bad stuff about palantir but idk if I want to be called a bear again
damn i had just been doing my own research to get better sense of what they do. do you think r/wsb is hyping it too much?

check my post a couple pages so yeah. i'd still do your own research, i may be wrong and they might have solved a lot of their earlier troubles
Just sold all my XRP. Lost about $4,500 of my initial 6.1k investment. Put the proceeds back into BTC
Still +3.2k thanks to my Bitcoin and ETH
Use the loss to offset taxes on gains
It has dropped again even after pumping from the BS ripple statement
It will get a lot worse soon imo, liquidity will start to dry up when trading is basically halted on most US exchanges in the next few weeks
I can see Binance US being next to halt trading
First stage/hearing with SEC is late Feb, assuming no delay

Anyone in on Airbnb?
i was really bullish pre-IPO but the current valuation is really high to me
Anyone in on Airbnb?
No. Valuation aside I just don't understand how airbnb is a good investment. But I like Palantir a lot so what do I know.
I'm in Palantir and PSTH for new buys. Keeping an eye on IPOF/anything Chamath does.

how is it NOT a good business
they are like a hotel but without all the costs associated. not to mention the macro societal tailwinds their business model has and new things like longer term stays/rentals and their experiences division continue to grow. and they are one of the most international companies which will only continue to increase their userbase through word of mouth / little need for advertising
the future is extremely bright for them

All good points, we’ll see. I’m not saying they’re going anywhere it’s just not for me.
