no that's the right mindset, you should be worried about user error tho nothing with the blockchain.. BTC/ETH have almost 100% uptime never had a hacked transaction etc
you should be careful and triple check every address, maybe even send a small % and see if it comes up on a blockscanner and exchange before you send all the money
common best practice
