Never invested in my life, what do I need to get into ether/crypto? Is coinbase a good choice? And is the security risk of using a "hot wallet" really significant enough to make it necessary to use "cold wallets"? How little can you start with money wise? Minimal expendable income so hoping I can get started for $100 or less, please bless me, finance geniuses of KTT2

Coinbase is a good choice for beginners but it’s not the best, it’s always better to have your coins in cold storage imo

Dollar cost averaging is a great strategy with any amount of money, especially if you’re looking long term

yeah Coinbase is great for starters

I prefer Gemini or Kraken cause they have lower fees but you have to pay the wire transfer fee at your bank the first time you use either which usually is like $30

so if your only spending $100 it definitely makes sense to go with Coinbase

$100 or less is enough if you are patience and add slowly over time

a cold wallet is a good idea once you have $700+ just use 2fa for now

I'm in on ACB, CRON, APHA, CGC, and GRWG.

ACB has historically underperformed, but they're one of the biggest suppliers in Canada.

CRON another large canadian stock that's 45% owned by Altria(Marloboro)

APHA just merged with another big weed company in Tilray in December. Will be converting to TLRY

GRWG a grow store for consumer and commercial. https://growgeneration.com/ They're up 160% in the last 3 months

I'm not on CURLF but they've had a great year and they're based out of Massachusetts

Edit: Forgot CGC, they're backed by Corona/Modelo
