I never said to do that. Many people have advocated for DCA in this thread already, that's good. I'm also not just talking about BTC and ETH. There are a lot of companies undervalued rn. There will also be more in the future, so start researching now.

I didn't really understand how much BTC would hold it's value verse the Alts, that's honestly where I got f***ed the most

all the moves I made in 2017 had me up a lot more than if I just held BTC but then 2018 happened

it was all a very good learning experience though

yeah I rebought some last year and I'm definitely intersted in getting more once things start to settle into place more or yeah if we had another big dip

Alt coins not only fall 95%+, but many do not recover to ath

It is a bit scary to keep buying alts with real money

I used a bit under 5 figures for small alts (not including eth), but I don't know how I would feel if I put 50-100k in small cap alts.

Too much stress and volatility, especially in a bear market

Looking at Neo, might be a garbage coin b/c of China, but it seems like it is about to take off like Eth pretty soon

yeah I definitely realized that during the last run and yeah I knew ETH would recover so I didn't sell very much at the time but I wish I sold more so I could have bought more ETH when it was cheap again

I bought MKR at like $800 in 2017 and that's finally a profit lol, MKR actually held incredibly well though

XEM I lost a ton on but that also has come around, I'm still down 50% but it was like 98% at one point lol

luckily I wasn't too heavy in total s***coins so it's almost all recovered at this point

If you become negative with Eth and BTC, just hold for a few more years until next period

Don't sell BTC or ETH at a loss

If you are crushed hard in those two and have extra cash, would even consider buying a bit more to lower cost basis
