Pro tip: always front-run drumpf
Hate the game, not the player
Btc weekly rsi was above 90
This is summer 2017
I bought at a lump sum of 1.2 for ETH. Can’t decide if I should just take a loss and DCA my way up later
If u dnt actively trade chill out
Eth could be worth $5-10k within a few years

the market's been freaking out both directions for a while
a couple days ago ETH broke its all time highs and people on social media were yelling $2k by what is now supposed to be tomorrow
the same crowds are yelling for sub $1k ETH and sustained selling like everything has changed
just go at this slowly and don't mind the meme posting here. and don't put in all your money obviously because the bears do have plenty of momentum and we all know how that can snowball
ETH leading the negative bias now
SPOOKY HOURS!
i noticed the value of my portfolio falling in btc now also
i think crypto is so obsessed with price and round numbers it really hurts the credibility of the space for the long term
i was really hopeful that when BTC broke $20k it would kind of break the glass ceiling for the asset class in general but it seems like the opposite is happening again where everyone is glued to their screen to see if a price ticker and candles go up or down
BTC shouldn't even be a focus anymore but it's because boomers just don't even get the basics of this whole space. ETH is the dominant creative force and it's obvious to any non-newbie
everyone expects to be rich yesterday and as a result the actual holders get f***ed over because there's no focus on progression and real metrics
i mean this not for this thread because it's fun to meme with you guys and relieve some stress. it's genuinely amusing
Best advice I could give to newbies in here is to really learn more about what you’re investing in. Does it have a good value proposition & reason for price accrual? What are the competitors, challenges it may face for success etc. The more you know about the asset & you are confident in it long term the more u won’t worry if the price dips.
Also observe your emotions when u see certain price patterns, it can be a great indicator & learning experience for the rest of your time trading.

Number go up or number go down is all I know

My uncle was telling me he was going to buy 100 shares of Bitcoin like 6 years ago 😂
facts lmao smh
Yes Tether is scary but I don't see how the tokens he mentions like USDC don't just replace it. Coinbase already has a huge monopoly for their services. Exchanges are self-interested to provide legit stable coins and fiat onramps too, Binance will gladly throw Tether under the bus if it comes to that. Look at how exchanges handled XRP. And Kraken an even shorter leash in that regard. I'm frankly surprised they still have USDT there but I'd also assume they have way more insider Tether info than a random Medium article
Obviously the bear case would be a horrible time for crypto and we'd probably see -50% or more in a day in a huge sell off
Everyone smart uses alternatives to Tether nowadays though and not holding it for anything more than transferring value
January 15th deadline passed btw and nothing happened
Yeah it does seem like the potentially bad s*** is years off and could potentially be avoided as other exchanges get rid of tether

and this isn't to say that ETH and its ecosystem is any better. the greed and price obsession are just as toxic these days
but at least there is a real development going on and new technology to invest in every day
it's not a finished product and some of the smartest people continue to enter the space and start new projects
that's what excites me more than a $1k ETH price
because 1 ETH = 1 ETH and you can do a lot more with 1 ETH than $1,000 in the future, and this will only continue to grow in utility as we digitize the economy
And I'm not as much as an ETH maxi anymore. Plenty of space for other protocols to grow as well. Lots of cool things coming out from other teams

Great advice. Appreciate that. This is just my playing money and my goal was to lock it up for the long term anyways.
