One scam i’ve heard and seen is a album will say it’s a reissue and it’s a vinyl copy of a record & you hear the surface noise of the record

This leads me to believe the record labels don’t have the masters and just uploading the vinyl because it’s too popular to ignore it

Another scheme i’ve seen is this artist will have several releases with different names with their songs shuffled under these fugazi label names

it’s like the mixtape hustle, shuffle the songs around & retitle the tracks. Make everyone confused it isn’t new material
