No your vote matters in specific situations depending on where you live.

GIO GIOI think I'm gonna actually request a ban, maybe take a break from twitter. Gotta take a break from politics/news in general. I was fine before the election cycle but I got sucked in. Never paid much attention to all this s*** and it's really awful. The people who spend every day worrying about Trump's tweets must not be doing well mentally, it can't be healthy
Gotta just focus on less toxic s*** and what's going on in my own life outside the internet. Covid's made it difficult cause there isn't much else to do. But you can really avoid a lot of this s*** if you disconnect for a bit

No. Each state gives them a certain amount of points. So like with Michigan Trump is in the lead to win that state so if he does he’ll get 16 points from them.
Nov 4, 2020ChiefSosaseems like you agree with me based on your second sentence? The President should have to focus on properly representing and considering the entire country, rather than exclusively the few states with the highest populations.
a given policy decision will never agree with everyones interests (or at least what they perceive as their interests), a politician has to make trade offs.
the only fair way to make those trade offs is by benefitting the largest amount of people. so the way I see it, adequate representation on a national level looks like a popular vote.
the alternative is trade offs in favor of the minority (i.e. electing Trump, who the slight majority of people are diametrically opposed), which seems even worse.
